About CRC

Visitors Programme

CRC welcomes inquiries from well established researchers and practitioners who wish to extend their professional experience and competence by spending time as a visitor to CRC's Manchester centre. Usually such visitors develop their own plans of action for their work, which may extend to a period of several months, and exceptionally one year, and negotiate their own access to relevant sources under the guidance of a CRC researcher.

CRC also welcomes visits by distinguished persons in the regulatory and competition sectors who wish to update themselves and to explore how CRC may assist their own organisations through policy advice, consultancy, training and capacity building activities.

A bench fee is usually charged for longer-term visits and covers the provision of a workstation, access to university libraries, including CRC's own extensive Endnote reference library, and photocopying facilities. Accommodation is not included in this fee and visitors must make their own arrangements although CRC staff can provide some advice. Similarly, visitors accompanied by their families must make their own arrangements for their families. For example, CRC is unable to find school places for children.
